Our customer’s favourite product!

Ingredients: 1/2 cup popcorn kernels 2 tablespoon

Ingredients:

1/2 cup popcorn kernels
2 tablespoons groundnut oil
Salt (to taste)
Optional: melted butter, seasonings (such as chili powder, grated cheese, or cinnamon sugar) for flavor variations

Instructions:

1) Place a large pot with a tight-fitting lid on the stove over medium heat. Add the groundnut oil and allow it to heat up for a minute or two.
2) Add the popcorn kernels to the pot and shake the pot gently to coat the kernels with oil.
3) Cover the pot with the lid, leaving a small gap to allow steam to escape. This helps prevent the popcorn from becoming soggy. If your pot doesn’t have a vented lid, you can slightly lift the lid during popping to achieve the same effect.
4) As the popcorn begins to pop, gently shake the pot back and forth to prevent burning. Keep shaking occasionally until the popping slows down to about 2-3 seconds between pops. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes.
5) Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for a minute to allow any remaining kernels to finish popping.
6) Carefully remove the lid, keeping it away from your face to avoid steam burns. The popcorn will be hot.
7) Season the popcorn with salt while it’s still warm. You can also add melted butter or other seasonings to taste. Toss the popcorn gently to distribute the seasoning evenly.
8) Transfer the popcorn to a serving bowl and enjoy!
